The bride and groom are dressed in traditional costumes for the evening. These can be provided by Resort. If the guest would also like to dress in traditional dress then we can assist in hiring at an extra cost .prior information will required. The group is divided into two parts. one that represent the bride`s family and the other that represent the groom `s family.
As is customary the groom`s family and friends gather to go in a procession to the bride`s at residence. At the Resort the group will assemble at the porch of the Resort. Here the groom will mount a horse and the procession will proceed amidst much excitement to the final venue. The pathway will be lit with fire torch lights and decorated with flowers in certain areas. The procession will be led by the band. The guest will go dancing and merry making to the venue. The path of the procession will be from the porch to the Temple to the ROE`S Retreat and finally to the Helipad . When the procession assembles outside the venue, they will proceed into the venue.
At the venue there will be welcome girls who will be waiting to receive the group with showers of rose petals and the traditional Aarti and Tikka ceremony. The guests will also be received by the bride`s designated parents who will gesture a Namaste to the guests. The groom will alight from the horse and will be garland here. At this time the shehnai will be playing .This is considered an auspicious sound especially for marriages.
The groom will be walked to the stage where the bride will be present from before. He will take the seat there alongside the bride. There will be a traditional ceremony of exchanging of garlands called "jaimala".
Post this the guest can proceed for the wedding ceremony .This will be on an elevated stage which will be illuminated . Here the couple will be married by priest amidst the chanting of the holy verses.
The rest of the guest will be seated around the stage and will be in full view of the stage.
After the ceremony the guest will proceed for cocktails and dinner. There will be buffet counters that will be setup on the periphery of the venue near the dinner area. The menu will including a combination of Indian as well as continental items. There will also be food that will be made at site. There will be dining tables that will be arranged. Wine can be served on table as per the requirement of the group.
After the ceremony there will be satirist who will play live Instrumental music for the guests. This can also be substituted with recorded Instrumental music.

A dream wedding, wherein a traditional welcome is given to every guest in a royal manner befitting kings and queens, where a red carpet is laid out for you in such a grand manner that it would become a dream fulfilled. Should a visitor have the occasion to attend a wedding, it is a chance that should not be lightly discarded. The wedding takes place at the bride's house to which the bridegroom comes accompanied with a large barat or procession. This happens even when the bride and groom are from separate towns, which is usually the case since the marriage are 'arranged'. The groom rides to his bride's house astride a white mare, and in the regalia of a prince, complete with sword. While the marriage rituals are conducted in the house, the bridegroom's procession is entertainment and dinner. The bride's family is responsible for the hospitality, and to ensure it is not lacking, they take great effort to look after their guests.
Guest is required to dress up for the wedding at our Devine Spa, where he or she can select the royal dresses on extra payment for which list of standard rental value will be provided for selection. Guest must reach earlier to keep them ready by 7.30 PM.
Guest is required to be assembled just outside the main gate of the Resort and procession will start their after at 8.00 PM. Wedding Procession will consist of Two Horses, followed by two camels and two elephants. Kacchi Ghodi dancing group will play the music and Kalbalia dance will be performed and move with the procession till Barat reaches the helipad gate. A ten member band will take the Bride, riding on the Ghodi along with the procession where friends and relatives will dance while moving wearing the Safa and royal dress.
Once guest reaches the Helipad, musical programme will start with Rajasthan folk dance along with DJ . Guest will be served with the sparkling wine and mock tails. Hot Snacks will be served time to time. Wedding ceremony will be done side by side till its Completion where Pandit Ji will perform Phera ceremony to mark the completion of wedding. Once Bride and Bride groom exchange the Garlands fire works will go in the air. Cock tail Veg and Non Veg Dinner will be served just after.

Mehfils - Mehfils are an integral part of every Rajasthani wedding. It is usually held in the evenings, they are again segregated into the 'ladies mehfil' and the 'gents mehfil'. At the ladies' mehfil, all the women gather at a central place in an enclosed courtyard or hall. In dazzling dresses, they perform the ghoomar (a special dance done in a group). The bride at the mehfil is given an important position to sit and watch the proceedings. If the ladies' mehfil is in progress at the groom's house, then only the groom is privileged to attend the all-women affair. Of course, the men have their own mehfil, where singers perform and these are strictly all male parties.
The night of the wedding - The morning before the memorable evening is filled with preparations for the royal wedding in Shiv vilas. In the early evening gentlemen gather in the Main lobby for tying safas (traditional headgear of the long tie-and-dye scarves). The ladies are assisted by our staff with their attire and designer-wear. All the guests assemble at Shiv vilas Main Gate at Shiv vilas Palace, and bride side will gather at main porch of shiv vilas to welcome the barat , where a welcome drink is served. A royal procession begins to form and the excitement grows dressed in Rajasthani attire sprinkling rose petals and attar (rose water) in the front, followed by Dhol/Nagada (traditional drums used for all the auspicious occasions).
The complete decor will be done as per the following- Color full rangoli's will be done at the entrance and all around the venue Various decorative pots , carts, Jhula's will be placed all around the venue. Lots of bamboo's work will be done at the venue, Khaat, Charpai, big muddas will be used for the sitting purpose, Artificial well (kuaan) will be created in between the venue along with artificial statues of Rajasthani, ladies in proper Rajasthani attires, Lots of bandhni work will be done as frills, hanging etc.
Following other props will be used in the decor: Bhalas, Mashaals, Hukkas, Floating diyas, Chari & Chula.
A stage of size ------ will be made on Rajasthani theme Rajasthani canopies will be created for haat bazaar, food counters and bars like tables, takhats, colorful covers & frills, lots of shades etc…. Small stages for folk artists will be created with frills & masking, stairs, side wings etc. Hay & Sleek bamboo sticks will be used for the welcome gate The hostesses will be wearing complete Rajasthani attire and welcome the guests with tilak & arti, safa's / Rajasthani dupattas can also be presented to each guest.
Rajasthani folk performances like: Ghoomer Dancer, Chari Dancer, Folk Singer, Kaalbelia Dancer, Bhopa Bhopi, Bhawai, Fire Eaters, Kacchi Ghodi, Tera Tali, Katputli dance, Bamboo balancing, Peacock Dance
Following will be hired for the Entertainment: Professional Artists, Emcee – to conduct the entire evening, Folk Dancers & Singers, Light & Sound, Traditional Haat, Following stalls will be created for the guests, Laakh Bangles, Handicrafts, Caricature, Astrologer, Rice Artist - writing names / sketches on rice grain, Mehandi / Henna Artist, Tatoo Artist / face painter, Fortune teller parrot
Wedding Bells - Ceremonies like Ladies Sangeet; Sagai Ceremony goes with bells. The entire venue will be done up with Roman Pillars with lots of flower work in between. Each and every chair will be tied up with the bell.
As the wedding Ceremony is supposed to take place on the stage so we propose to change the set up at the time of Sagai. We will have “Bhagwan Ganesh Photograph” as the back drop to give it the traditional look and after the ceremony this back drop will be removed and again the senimity bells back drop will be put up where the various performances will take place in the presence of various family members.
Barat Welcome - A team of approximately 20-15 footmen in traditional attire with mashal & bhalas will be standing on opposite sides of the pathway - 8 to 10 folk dancers will dance and welcome the barat in a very traditional style
Entry of Groom - The entry of groom will take place under silver Chattar We will have a group of 8 people who would be receiving the groom in a very traditional style between the swords and pataka
Entry of Bride - The entry of bride will take place in the silver Palki / lotus/ moon etc...
Varmala - A separate stage will be made for Varmala Recitation of shloks during varmala.
Singing - Live singing will be done specifying the names of the family members of Bride & Groom involved
Pheras - A team of musician will sing the traditional songs before and after the pheras depicting the various moods.
Bidai - The complete bidai will be organized in a very traditional manner wherein the traditional songs of bidai will be sung by our various performers.
